Rajeunir Medical Spa Enlists U.S. Army Troops for Patriotic Pampering
July 2 is All About Peels, Pedicures + Appreciation at Briarcliff Village
June 25, 2008 (Kansas City, MO) – Looking for a special way of saying “Thank You” to the men and women who have been bravely serving our country in Iraq and Afghanistan, Rajeunir Medical Spa has joined forces with the United States Army for a special day of patriotic pampering.
On Wednesday, July 2 six Army soldiers in full combat uniform will be escorted in a tricked-out Hummer to Briarcliff Village (briarcliffvillagekc.com) in the Northland for four hours of head-to-toe personalized “pamper-ization.” The treatments menu will include: chemical peels, photo facials, microdermabrasions, massages, manicures, pedicures, hydrotherapy, waxing, hair styling + deep shampoos. Besides Rajeunir, other on-site businesses donating their time and services are The Spa Tuscano, Eclektica Salon, T. Wynn Studio, GreenAcres Market and The Cafe.
The honored guests are scheduled to arrive at Briarcliff Village at 9:30 a.m. After meeting with the business owners and staff, they'll be paired into groups of two at 10 a.m. and begin making the rounds between the different vendors and treatments. After all the soothing, indulging and before-and-after modeling, the event will be capped with a group lunch.
Having JUST RETURNED from Iraq on June 19, the six deserving soldiers (five females and one male) selected for this hands-on mission are from The Army Reserve's 325th Combat Support Hospital:
* Lorraine Wright - Sergeant First Class
* Flora Phommachanh - Staff Sergeant
* Mary Miller - First Lieutenant
* Thuy Bui - Sergeant
* Patricia Mitchell - Sergeant First Class (Medical Recruiter)
* Daniel Gamboa - Master Sergeant (25+ years of service)
"It's fantastic that the local business community is being so supportive of our troops," says Gary L. Bloomfield, advertising and public affairs chief for the U.S. Army Recruiting Battalion Kansas City. "These hard-working soldiers literally just got back from the front lines performing triage duties in triple-digit temperatures. They certainly deserve a little pampering."
Rajeunir Medical Spa owner Nathan Irvin echoes the sentiment of being supportive of American troops.
"It will truly be an honor to meet these soldiers and thank them in our own special way for their service to our country,” Irvin says. “Their bravery is awe-inspiring and unmatched. We're hoping a little pampering will go a long way as the entire nation prepares to celebrate Independence Day.” Rajeunir Medical Spa has three locations in the Kansas City area – Northland, Leawood and Lee's Summit. The salon specializes in non-invasive cosmetic medical procedures using advanced FDA-approved technology to offer a preferred combination of aesthetics and science.
